Metrobon Production Company  – Owner/Director   8/03 – current

·         Produce mixed-media fashion and art events that serve to promote local arts and fashion design

·         Direct all aspects of event production and promotion, including event conceptualizing; recruitment and coordination of performers, models, and production staff (approximately 50 people for each event); materials acquisition; sponsorship development and negotiation; advertising and publicity; ticket sales;  technical production; stage management; and cash disbursements

Pangea Project  - Executive Director  5/93 – 5-97

·         Created and directed a 501 (c3) non-profit arts organization

·         Produced multicultural, mixed media events featuring diverse artistic expressions, such as Japanese Butoh, African Dance, Fire Performers, DJs, poets, computerized visuals, live painters, and musicians. Some events featured up to 50 performers in one evening 

·         Directed and/or implemented all aspects of production and promotion of events; including conceptualizing,  performer recruitment and coordination, materials acquisition, sponsorship solicitation, publicity, ticket sales,  sound, lighting, f/x, stage management, and disbursements

·         Developed a mentoring program teaching all aspects of producing and promoting events including sound engineering, lighting design, stage management, and promotion to teens and young adults

·         Facilitated bi-weekly meetings with board of directors, staff, and volunteers

 

The Lish House  - Director  5/93 – 5-97

·         Assisted in renovation and maintenance of an old theater in Columbia City to become a work/live artist cooperative and theatrical performance venue

·         Provided oversight for booking and management of the theater, invoicing, contracts, and supervision of the in- house personnel

·         Developed a network of producers and promoters and a system for resource-sharing to reduce duplication and extend the capacity of all theater clients

Co-producer “Graylife Winter” @ CHAC

Fashion show with Fourth City DJ’s Laptop Battle, featuring African Hair Braiding, a volunteer staff of 40 designers, models, photographers, and technical personnel, multimedia set design.

 

Producer “Fashion Dreams” @ CHAC

Theatrical fashion show featuring 7 Local Boutiques, Philippino Breakdancers, Beatbox Artist, Modern Dancers, and a complex set design.

 

Promoter/Graphic Designer “Una Rosa Blanca” @ Town Hall

Fundraiser for El Centro De La Raza featuring ‘Yerba Buena’, ‘Hector Sanchez y Los Alcones del Norte’, and keynote speaker Jim McDermott.

 

Co-producer “A Revue-lution Party” @OK Hotel

An awareness event for Allied Arts “Constitution for the Arts” featuring musicians (including Reggie Watts), performance art, poetry, and more.

 

Co-producer “emergency” @ i-spy

Political multi-media musical featuring local film and video screenings, international speakers, funk/soul musicians, dancers, painters, and electronic musicians collaborating with a string quartet.  

 

Producer “Shaping The Network Society” @ i-spy

Benefit for ‘Computer Professionals for Social Responsibility’ (Univ. of Wash.)  Featuring a live feed broadcast to Europe, bands, dancers, a sci-fi fashion show, and interactive cyber-art.

 

Co-producer, fundraiser for Youth Advancement Through Music and Arts

Fundraiser held at the Seattle Art Museum, featuring youth and adult performances, live and silent auction, and art exhibit, raised over $8000 for organization.Producer

 

"Pangea Project" (Experimental Theme)

An all night event featuring Japanese Butoh dancers, belly dancers, poets with electronic musicians, aerial dancers, computerized imagery, and more. This event had 50 performers in three rooms.

Mixed media party with DJs, dancers, musicians, video, live paintings, spoken word, and more.

 

Producer "PangeaProject" (Story Theme) @2424 SPACE

A story-lined operetta utilizing trapeze artists, a Middle Eastern dancer, poets, DJs, a string quartet, performance artists, and computerized visuals.

 

Producer "F.U.C.C.-The Benefit"

Mixed Media benefit for pirate radio station with bands Source of Labor and

Stereo Taxi. Performance art by Piece of Meat Theater. 

 

Producer "Open Veil Presents: A Masquerade of Spirits"

A mixed media haunted house/masquerade ball with performances, fortune telling,

puppetry, and more.

 

Co-producer "Green Children" @ Aro-space

A collaboration of all female dancers, musicians, performance artists, and computerized visual

Projections. Story compares the 'coming of age' of a girl to the Chinese government.

 

Co-producer, Stage Manager "Dream" @ Eyedrop Studios

Dj’s, poetry, Turkish musicians, Celtic Dancers, tattoos, piercing, vendors, massages.

 

Producer "Pangea Project" (Freak Show) @ Vinylized

Over 40 mixed media performances in three rooms including Idiot Flesh, glow-stick martial

artists, freakshow dancers, Gorilla performance artist, and much more. Included a free-jam room where audience could join the musicians.

 

Producer "Pangea Project" (Life and Love theme) @ Sit and Spin

Performance artists, live painters, African and Latin Percussionist, Funk Band, African dancers, and more.

 

Producer “Vajra” @ Moe’s
